The Re'noan Empire is ruled by a traditional monarchy, with the Nova family currently in power. The government has various branches and organizations to do specific tasks, such as The Engine of the Grand Inquisitor, the secret intelligence agency for the Empire.
The Great City of Re'noan is the capital and largest city of the empire, where a majority of trade and commerce happens.
This is the home of Ren and Argyle.
The Empire has existed for about 1000 years. It started in the south-east corner of the continent, and slowly expanded to the north and west. The expansion was halted by the elven forests.
A peace treaty was reached with the elves approximately 500 years ago.
The time of exploration for the empire is littered with famous explorers and adventurers.
Currently the empire is in a renaissance period.
The city of Boon
Fort Madguno is a miliary fort located just outside the recognized south-west border of the Re'noan Empire.
Argyle, Guthix, Ren, Kegal, and Basil are on a mission to the fort and meet with the Baron. It is discovered that the Baron is being controlled by a windigo, and possibly connected to some of the strange occurrences the group had previously encountered in Boon. Shortly after this discovery the fort was attacked by orcs, and the group played a key role in defending the fort. Their recently acquired airship was used to drop boulders on the encroaching orcs.[1]
Plockton is a small town located in the northern region of the Re'noan Empire, seated along a wide river slightly upstream of the Re'noan bay. The town is home to Argyle Goyle and his family, later inhabited by the Serpentini family. The main point of interest with the town is its convenient location with access to the bay and its large area of untouched woodland, making it an excellent candidate for a site for large scale lumber production.
The town features 54 buildings, 6 of which make up the lumber mill, and 9 plots of farmland. The town is located on the edge of a temperate forest. There is now large swaths of grassland where trees have been cut for use in the lumber mill. Located along the southern side is an un-named river, flowing from east to west, and eventually connecting to the Re'noan bay.
A relatively new development. Just a small town until it was noticed by the Serpentini's and the Empire, and it became of place of interest.
The mill is the prime location for lumber processing in the town. It is located along the river to the south-west of the city center of Plockton.
A relatively large and well made house located in the center of the town. The house was discovered to be commandeered by the Serpentini family, with the previous owners unknown. The house contained the science project like remains of (possibly) Solus and Ren's birth mother, likely being conducted by Lord Serpentini.[1:1]
The house was investigated by the group at night on their initial arrival at the town and combat followed, leading to the death of Lord Serpentiniand a few hired guards.
Later on, when the group was returning from the investigation of the wyvern case, they were lead here for a meeting with Len Glenbashby. It was discovered that the meeting was actually an illusion, and they were locked inside as the house was set on fire.[2]
The church contained odd undead creatures until dispatched by the group. Located in the basement is a large quantity of coin, weapons, and armor. Wyverns were summoned from atop here by Argyles Mom.[3]
A sister port city to the Capital of the Re'noan empire.
A prestigious manor located atop the highest cliff in Porta Nova, with the back half of the property ending abruptly in a steep drop off into the water below. The properties original owners are unknown, but it was said to be in use for official empire affairs. This is assumed to be the home of Barlow and Marth The group lived here for a few moths while they were under investigation for the Fort Madguno incident and for their training at the Academy.
